As the head of EVgo’s Customer Operations team, it’s my job to make sure we’re meeting – and exceeding – our customers’ expectations. From our station locations to our charger functionality and user interfaces like the EVgo app, our goal is a fast and seamless interaction each and every time a customer charges with EVgo. That’s why I was so excited to hear about EVgo customer, Kristan Kirsh, and her experience road tripping in an EV, fast charging with EVgo, and using the EVgo app. Check out this video and read on to learn more!

Kristan, why did you choose an EV for your family?

Kristan:

I’m really passionate about the environment and about leaving a better world for my kids. I initially was prompted to get an EV through my work’s incentive plan at Nextracker. Whether you bought or leased we gave cash incentives to drive adoption as our company ramped up in the utility scale solar market. I’ve now been a 100% EV driver for over five years now. In the end, driving an EV minimizes my carbon footprint, helping to protect our environment, and creating a cleaner future.

Joe:

All true. Also, I’m always proud to tell our customers that EVgo was the first U.S. public fast charging network to commit to powering our chargers with 100% renewable energy. Finding an EV charging network you can rely on is one thing – finding one that aligns with your personal passions is something that really resonates with many of our customers.

Joe:
I hear you and your family are big on road trips – where do you go?

Kristan:
We live in Oakland, CA – within driving distance of some really beautiful locations. We’ve driven the EV to Lake Tahoe, Santa Barbara, even Portland. That’s 200, 400, and 600 miles – one way!

Joe:
Are you worried about your EV’s range on these long trips?

Kristan:

No! There are 800+ EVgo locations across the country and 300+ in California alone, including on the West Coast Electric Highway. Plus I have access to hundreds of EVgo partner stations en route with my EVgo account. All of this coverage gives me total peace of mind, whether I’m running errands, commuting to work, or road tripping out of state.
