Yes! EVgo welcomes all Tesla drivers to fast charge at any of our 800+ EVgo stations using your own Tesla CHAdeMO adapter, or the Tesla connectors available at select locations across the US.

EVgo is deploying more than 600 integrated Tesla connectors at existing EVgo stations in key cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Washington D.C., Virginia, Baltimore, Texas, Salt Lake City, San Diego, Phoenix, Denver, Florida, and New York.

You can locate an EVgo station with a Tesla connector by using the EVgo app, Tesla in-vehicle navigation, or the Tesla app. Once you arrive, you will remove the Tesla connector from the charger and plug it into your vehicle. To start the session, you can pay through the EVgo app, EVgo program card, or credit card (in select locations). Return the connector to its original holder once charging session is complete, and you are back on the road!

Tesla drivers can charge up to 100 miles in about 30 minutes. The rate of charge will vary by the charger and the state of charge of the Tesla battery. At this time, Tesla connectors and Tesla CHAdeMO adapters can charge up to 50kW at EVgo stations.

EVgo charges a per-minute rate, or per-kWh rate (in select regions). All EV drivers, including Tesla drivers, can charge at EVgo chargers with either Pay As You Go rates, EVgo Member rates, or EVgo Plus^TM rates which can be found on our website: EVgo.com/pricing

You can pay to charge your Tesla by using the EVgo app, EVgo program card, or credit card. There is no membership required to charge with EVgo, but we encourage all Tesla drivers to download the EVgo app to set up an account to get started.

Currently, EVgo has deployed Tesla connectors in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Virginia, Washington D.C., Texas, Salt Lake City, San Diego, Phoenix, Denver, Florida, New York, and is continuing to expand in other cities across the U.S.

Use Plugshare.com to find EVgo chargers with Tesla connectors by using the Plugshare filter function. Select the “Tesla” plug and EVgo as the only “Network.” This will filter all EVgo stations that have chargers with Tesla connectors.

Use the Tesla navigation to find select EVgo stations. Load the navigation and click the lightning bolt icon that is on the bottom right of the screen to load all charging stations nearby. To see EVgo stations near you make sure the double lightning bolt is selected.

Open the EVgo app and click the “Filter” icon on the far right of the search bar. Turn the “+ Tesla” filter on and hit “Save.” Use the search tool to find a station near you with Tesla connectors.

The Tesla connectors at EVgo stations are Model S/3/X/Y compatible.

Yes! If you own a Tesla CHAdeMO adapter you can still charge at any EVgo Fast Charging station. Any Tesla adapters not manufactured by Tesla are not approved for use at EVgo stations due to safety concerns.

If you are having an issue starting your charge, follow these troubleshooting steps:

1) Unplug the Tesla connector from your vehicle and return it to its holster.

2) Unplug the CHAdeMO connector from the connector box attached to the side of the charger.

3) Replug the CHAdeMO cable back into the box and make sure you hear a *click*.

4) Remove the Tesla connector from its holster and replug it into your Tesla charge port

5) Start the charging session.

If your Tesla is still not charging, call EVgo Customer Support at (877) 494-3833. They can issue you a remote start for EVgo chargers at no additional cost.
